Community Center Expansion
Community Center Expansion & Rehabilitation

In May 2016, Portland voters authorized the City to sell bonds to expand and rehabilitate the Community Center, located at 2000 Billy G. Webb Drive.  The $25,200,000 bond issuance also included the reconstruction of the Sports Complex and Municipal Park, both of which were recently completed under budget and ahead of schedule.

The Community Center project includes additions and renovations to the existing Community Center and adjacent grounds.  New additions to the building include approximately 17,400 square feet of meeting spaces, kitchen, offices, lobbies, restrooms, and corridors.  Additional new construction includes the building main entrance, a covered drop-off canopy at the north entrance, and general site improvements.  Major and minor renovations of approximately 28,800 square feet include restrooms, lockers, kitchen, meeting areas, racquetball courts, offices, and corridors.  Existing areas not covered by the renovations will have minor upgrades to finishes.
