Farmers Market
Come shop at The Market, a place to get baked goods, homemade crafts, décor and many other unique items. We hope to have produce as supply and seasons allow. Shop Portland the first Saturday of every month!
When: 1st Saturday of the Month (No Market in September)
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Where: Joe Burke Pavilion
Cost: Entrance to market is free

Park It
We will be in the parks again this summer. We will Park It at our new parks. A chance to play every Thursday. June we will be at Municipal Park and July you will find us at the Sports Complex. Mark your calendars and Park It with us this summer!
When: Thursdays in June & July
Where: June 7, 14, 21 & 28 at Municipal Park, 1815 Memorial Parkway
July 5, 12, 19 & 26 at the Sports Complex, 721 Buddy Ganem

Can It
Join our effort to educate, clean up and put a stop to litter, make a difference right here in Portland! Trash belongs in the trash can, so let’s Can It Portland! We will host monthly clean-ups everyone can participate. Watch for details, program will begin in April 2018. This is a great program for groups, churches, families and individuals.
When: 1st Saturday of Every Month, beginning in April 2018 (No event in September)
Where: Meet at Joe Burke Pavilion to register and get your Can It location
Time: 8:00 – 11:00 AM
Cost: FREE

Parks & Recreation Day
July is National Parks & Recreation Month and to celebrate the occasion the fun is on us! Visit the Community Center or Aquatic Center on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 and play for FREE! That’s right, for one day you can come and play for FREE! We believe that Parks & Recreation is a vital service and an essential part of everyone’s life. So in honor of National Parks & Recreation Month play for FREE!!!!!
When: Wednesday, July 11, 2018
Where: Portland Community Center
Portland Aquatic Center
Cost: FREE

Kid Katch
The City of Portland is co-sponsoring the 15th Annual Kid Katch Youth Fishing Tournament with the Saltwater-Fisheries Enhancement Association, Spectra Energy and the San Patricio County and Nueces County branches of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Children 17 and under are invited to participate in three different age categories. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age group for Biggest Fish. Free lunch is provided and t-shirts will be given to the first 200 registered. The event is strictly measure and release. Parents may accompany children. Come out and join the fun! School Supply Drive! Be sure to bring new school supplies with you to donate at the event. All supplies will be donated to Gregory-Portland ISD to help children who cannot afford school supplies. Kid Katch is a FREE event, donate and make a difference in the life of a child in your community!

Pooch-A-Palooza H2O
Bring your pooch to make a splash at the Portland Aquatic Center for our 2nd Annual Pooch-A-Palooza H2O! Fun for the whole family, only dogs in the water please. There will be a swimsuit contest and special doggie concession. Registration will be required, be sure to bring current vaccination record.
When: Saturday, September 8, 2018
Time: 4:30-6:30 PM
Swimsuit contest: 5:00 PM
Cost: $5 per dog/ 2 dogs per adult only please
