The City of Portland looks forward to celebrating the holidays with you at our upcoming events and attractions. Christmas on the Coast begins Saturday, December 4, and continues through January 2, 2022. See the schedule of events below:
- Saturday, December 4 -- Holiday Market
- 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- 810 Houston Street
- Saturday, December 4 -- Portland Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
- Beginning at 6:00 p.m.
- City Hall/Community Center Parking Lot
- Portland Mayor, City Council and staff will present the Tree Light Ceremony
- Corpus Christi Symphony will perform at the tree lighting ceremony
- Saturday, December 4 -- Ice Skating Rink Opens
- Opens at 6:00 p.m. (with tree lighting ceremony)
- Admission fee: $10/day
- Located at Joe Burke Pavilion
- Beginning December 5, the rink is open 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily (unless posted otherwise)
- Monday, December 6 -- Portland’s Parade of Lights
- Saturday, December 11 -- Christmas in Portland
- 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Located in the Portland Community Center
- Family pictures with Santa
- Guest appearances by Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer & Frosty the Snowman
- Christmas crafts, games, snow slide, & more
- Entry fee: new, unwrapped toy
- VENDORS – must register by Thursday, December 9, to have a booth
- Friday, December 17 -- Jingle Bell Rock & GLOW Portland Finale (announce winners)
- Live entertainment featuring The East & The Crow
- Food trucks available to purchase food
- 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
- Joe Burke Pavilion and adjacent parking lots
- Announcing the GLOW Portland winners at 7:00 p.m.
- December 17 to 19 -- 60-ft Ferris Wheel
- Open 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Friday & Saturday
- Open 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday
- Cost to ride: $5
- December 19 -- Corpus Christi Symphony Performing in Portland
- 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
