CITY MANAGER RANDY WRIGHT RECOGNIZED FOR 20 YEARS OF SERVICE
PORTLAND, TEXAS – Texas City Management Association (TCMA) recently recognized and awarded Portland City Manager Randy Wright the 20 Year Service Award. TCMA is a member driven, ethical and inclusive organization committed to the council-manager form of government. The membership consists of nearly 1,100 local government professionals who are dedicated to promoting the highest standards of governance, service, leadership, ethics, and education for the benefit of the cities of Texas. TCMA awarded 20 of their members with Service Awards this year.
“On behalf of the TCMA Board of Directors, I would like to recognize and congratulate Mr. Wright for this great achievement. Throughout his career, Mr. Wright has embodied the ideals of TCMA through an unwavering commitment to ethical and inclusive leadership. His continued devotion to our profession and his community is highly commendable”, said Brian DeLatte, Portland Deputy City Manager and TCMA Board of Directors Region 9 Director.
City Manager Wright was also recognized by Portland Mayor Cathy Skurow for this accomplishment. “On behalf of the City Council, I would like to congratulate Portland City Manager, Randy Wright, on his 20 Year Service Award from the Texas City Management Association. Mr. Wright has served our community in many ways over the years, even prior to his role as City Manager. Mr. Wright exemplifies our Community of Good with his service to this community. We are truly blessed to have him as our City Manager! Once again, congratulations, Randy, on your accomplishments and we thank you for your continued leadership.”
