The City will begin the next phase of the Sanitary Sewer Inflow & Infiltration Study tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 4. This phase includes taking video inside some of the sewer lines in town. There is no need for any action on the part of residents for this portion of the study, but you may see personnel from Ace Pipeline working in easements on or near your property. There will be no need for any Ace Pipeline or City personnel to enter any residence as part of this phase.

Crews will begin in Section 1 on Oct. 4, then move on to sections 4, 9, 8, 2, 5, and 7. We’ll keep you posted about their progress.

The City began the I & I Study in the spring as part of a sewer system condition assessment. (This is the study that included the “smoke” test. The results from those tests helped to identify areas for this phase.) Results of this study will help the City plan future wastewater maintenance and rehabilitation projects to address preventative maintenance of the system on a more proactive basis.
