Here’s the latest update from Republic Services as of Nov. 3:

By early next week, Republic Services will finish storm-related brush pick-up. They’re also scheduled to complete their second citywide pass collecting construction and other building-related debris (fences, etc.) in the next few days.

As of Monday, Nov. 6, regular brush and bulky pickup will resume on the normal schedule with Section 1. Please remember that bagged trash is not permitted and won’t be picked up.

If you have brush and debris at curbside and it has not been picked up, there may have been an obstruction that didn’t allow the crews to reach the debris. Please call the Public Works office at 777.4601 to determine the problem and to arrange for pick-up.

While brush and debris pickup related to Hurricane Harvey is substantially complete, only about 30% of the storm debris has been picked up along the rest of the Harvey-damaged Texas coast.
